This paper discusses some aspects of the adaptive genetic algorithm (AGASOR) in Hop and Tabucanon [2005. Adaptive genetic algorithm for lot-sizing problem with self-adjustment operation rate. International Journal of Production Economics 98 (2), 129-135]. The AGASOR solves the well known lot-sizing problem. We conclude that it is more valuable to solve the lot size problem with Wagner and Whitin method because it always finds the optimal solution and requires less computation effort and time than the AGASOR algorithm.Dynamic lot sizing Inventory Wagner-Whitin method Genetic algorithm
