Editorial/Foreword

This issue of Energy includes papers that were present at the 7th International Conference on Sustainable Energy Technologies (SET). SET2008 was held 24–27 August 2008 in Seoul, Korea. The conference, organized by the Korean Institute of Ecological Architecture and Environment, included over 450 registered participants from 32 countries. Papers covered topics from chemical processing to building energy conservation, and from new concepts in solar collectors to ground source heat pump systems. While a few of the papers reflected unique problems and opportunities specific to some parts of the world, it was clear that there is a great deal of commonality in research directions throughout all nations. A total of 17 papers are included here covering a representative set of the topics presented at the conference and covering this wide range of topics
