UNLV is committed to demonstrating how the traditional values of higher education can be adapted to the conditions and needs of individuals and communities in the 21st century. Key macrothemes of the university’s strategic plan include Economic Development, Preservation of History & Culture, and Community Outreach & Collaboration. In keeping with these macrothemes, UNLV is embarking on several partnerships with the BLM and related agencies to provide a wide array of research, technical assistance, education, and service support on projects funded through the SNPLMA.
