We investigated outpatients younger than 19 years old who first visited the psychiatric serviceat Nara Medical University Hospital in 2003. The total number of new outpatients under 19 years old in 2003 was 210. Of all patients, 188 patients were investigated by clinical charts. About 32% of the patients were referred by psychiatrists in other psychiatric services. Patients diagnosed with Adjustment disorders and patients diagnosed with Neurotic disorders were most of all patients. We also investigated outcomes
