May 16, 1915."Photographs pasted in.Typescript.The present investigation consists of (1) a study of the different methods of preparing the halogen compounds of vanadium and (2) the measurement of the dielectric constant of the three compounds liquid at the ordinary temperatures; vanadium oxychlorid, vanadium oxybromid, vanadium tetrachloride. Their solvent properties have received but limited study and it is proposed to extend these investigations to a study of the solvent properties of these liquid vanadium compounds and the electrical conductivity of the resulting solutions.Includes bibliographical reference
