Teorik analizde değişik sınır tabaka kalınlıkları için ölçek analiz yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Deneysel çalışmada ise iki farklı yöntem. Bunlardan ilki, yatay silindir etrafındaki sıcaklık dağılımını belirlemek için kullanılan Holografik interferometre tekniğidir. Diğeri ise, etrafı naftalinle kaplı silindirde, süblimasyon sırasında naftalinde meydana gelen kütle değişimini inceleyen Naftalin süblimasyon yöntemidir.
