Investigation Of The Effects Of Hydrophobic And Hydrophilic Interactions On The Structures Of Polymer-metal Complexes By Cyclic Voltammetry

Tez (Yüksek Lisans) -- İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi, Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü, 2003Thesis (M.Sc.) -- İstanbul Technical University, Institute of Science and Technology, 2003Bu çalışmada, poli(akrilik asit) (PAA), poli(itakonik asit) (PIA), poli(N-vinil karbazol) (PNVCz), poli(akrilik asit-ko-N-vinil karbazol), poli(itakonik asit-ko-N-vinil karbazol), hidrofilik ve hidrofobik yapıdaki bileşenlerden oluşan homo ve kopolimerler sentezlendi ve karakterize edildi. Karakterizasyonlar FT-IR spektrofotometresi, viskozimetrik yöntem ve diferansiyel taramalı kalorimetre kullanılarak gerçekleştirildi. Bu polimerlerin Cu2+ iyonu ile yapacakları polimer-metal iyonu komplekslerinin yapıları döngülü voltametri (CV) kullanılarak incelendi. Hidrofilik (IA, AA) ve hidrofobik (NVCz) bileşen yüzdesinin polimerik metal komplekslerinin yapıları üzerindeki etkileri araştırıldı. Ayrıca, ışığa (N-vinil karbazol) ve pH’a duyarlı ( itakonik asit ve akrilik asit) bileşenlerin varlığının polielektrolitlerin (PAA, PIA) çözelti davranışları üzerindeki etkileri belirlendi.In this study, homo and copolymers composed of hydrophilic and/or hydrophobic constituents such as poly ( acrylic acid) (PAA), poly( itaconic acid) (PIA), poly( N-vinyl carbazole) (PNVCz), poly(acrylic acid-co-N-vinyl carbazole), poly( itaconic acid-co-N-vinyl carbazole), were synthesized and characterized. Characterizations were performed by FT-IR spectrophotometer, solution viscometry and DSC. The interactions between these polymers and Cu2+ , i.e. the structures of these polymer-metal complexes were investigated by cyclic voltammetry. The effects of hydrophilic (IA and AA) and hydrophobic (NVCz) constituents (in mole % ) on the structures and stability of polymeric metal complexes were investigated. Further, the effects of the presence of photo-sensitive (N-vinyl carbazole) on the aqueous and nonaqueous solution behaviours of pH-sensitive polyelectrolytes (PAA, PIA) were determined.Yüksek LisansM.Sc
