The Effect Of Subzero/cryogenic Heat Treatment On 100cr6 And 8620 Steel Properties

Isıl işlem sertleştirilmesine tabi tutulan çelik numuneleri bu işlemi takiben -70°C’de kreojenik ısıl işlem görmüştür. Malzemelerde fiziksel ve mikroyapısal değişimler saptanmış ve kalıntı östenit miktarı tespit edilerek aşınma dirençleri ölçülmüştür . Sonuçlar literatürdeki çalışmalar ile karşılaştırıldığında beklendiği gibi sıfıraltı ( kreojenik ) ısıl işlemin sertleştirilmiş yüksek karbonlu çeliklerde kalıntı östeniti giderici ve ince karbür oluşturucu bir etki yaratması sebebiyle malzemenin sertlik ve aşınma direnci özelliklerini geliştirdiği tespit edilmiştir.In this study the effect of subzero ( cryogenic ) heat treatment on 100Cr6 and 8620 steel properties was investigated . These steels were cryogenic heat treated at -70°C after quenching hardening . Mechanical property and microstructure changes were observed ; the amount of retained austenite were measured and abrasion resistance for each sample was determined . As a result with comparison of the literature , cryogenic heat treatment of the high carbon quench hardened steels had a positive affect on the hardness and abrassion resistance porperties due to decreasing the retained austenite percentage and enhancing fine carbide precipications .Yüksek LisansM.Sc
