Blow-up Solutions Of The Generalized Davey-stewartson System: Analytical And Numerical Results

GDS sistemi, genelleştirilmiş elastik bir malzemeden oluşan sonsuz bir ortamdaki zayıf nonlineer dalgaların yayılımını karakterize eden model olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu tez çalışmasında, GDS sisteminin hiperbolik-eliptik-eliptik (HEE) ve eliptik-eliptik-eliptik (EEE) durumları gözönüne alınmıştır. Düzgün başlangıç datasına sahip bir çözümün herhangi bir normu sonlu zamanda sınırsız oluyorsa, bu çözüm GDS sisteminin patlama çözümü olarak adlandırılır. Bu tez altı temel sonuç içermektedir. Birinci olarak, HEE durumda, GDS sisteminin pseudo-konformal invaryantlığını kullanarak bir analitik patlama çözümü elde edilmiştir. İkinci olarak, EEE durumda, p>2 için çözümlerin L^p-normlarının t-->sonsuz iken sıfıra gittiği gösterilmiştir. Üçüncü olarak, EEE durumda, sonlu zamanda patlama ve global varlık hakkında yeni sonuçlar sunulmuştur. Dördüncü olarak, GDS sisteminin bir özel hali olan Yozlaşmış GDS sisteminin bir nonlineer dönüşüm yardımıyla Davey-Stewartson sistemine dönüştüğü gösterilmiştir. Beşinci olarak, GDS sistemini çözmek için rölaksasyon sayısal yöntemi kullanılmış ve sayısal şemanın patlama olayını yakalamakta başarılı olduğu gözlenmiştir. Altıncı olarak, GDS sistemini çözmek için bir diğer sayısal yöntem olan split-step Fourier yöntemi kullanılmış ve bu yöntemin rölaksasyon yöntemi ile karşılaştırılmasından split-step yönteminin hesaplama zamanı açısından rölaksasyon yönteminden daha etkin olduğu bulunmuştur.This thesis presents the analytical and numerical results of a study conducted to investigate blow-up solutions of the generalized Davey-Stewartson (GDS) system. The GDS system arises as a model for the propagation of weakly nonlinear waves in a bulk medium composed of an elastic material with couple stresses. The hyperbolic-elliptic-elliptic (HEE) and elliptic-elliptic-elliptic (EEE) cases of the GDS system are considered in this thesis study. A solution of the GDS system with smooth initial data is said to be a blow-up solution if some norm of the solution becomes unbounded in finite time. There are six main results in this thesis. First, in the HEE case an explicit blow-up solution is obtained using the pseudo-conformal invariance of the GDS system. Second, in the EEE case it is shown that for p>2 the L^p-norms of the solutions decay to zero as t-->infinity. Third, in the EEE case, new results about global existence and blow-up in finite time are presented. Fourth, it is shown that the degenerate GDS system, which is a special case of the GDS system, reduces to the Davey-Stewartson system through a nonlinear transformation. Fifth, the relaxation numerical method is used to solve the GDS system and it is observed that the numerical scheme is successful in detecting blow-up phenomena. Sixth, the split-step Fourier method is another numerical method used for solving the GDS system and a comparison with the relaxation method shows that it is computationally more efficient than the relaxation method.DoktoraPh
