Ayrıca, bu sistemlerde SO2 giderme verimini artırmak amacıyla kullanılan çeşitli katkı maddelerinin etkileri her bir kireçtaşı için incelenmiştir. Kireçtaşı çözeltilerinin toplam sülfatasyon kapasiteleri kireçtaşının kimyasal bileşimine bağlı olarak 14.00-18.80 mg SO3-2/ml aralığında değişmiştir.
