Contains a proclamation “To the Men of New York” by General Alex Smyth, 10 November 1812, from a camp near Buffalo. It is prefaced with a note that “the following curious proclamation of Gen. Smyth was circulated in the western counties of this state for the purpose of raising volunteers, with what effect we have yet to learn…”.
