Hope is important for individuals to persevere and push past obstacles in their life. Hope is often expressed with cancer patients. In 2012, 13.7 million Americans were living with cancer or had been previously diagnosed with cancer (American Cancer Society, 2013). Every year more and more Americans get added to that list. Most individuals feel without hope they won\u27t survive their disease. This study will examine the relationship between hope and cancer through a series of questions using the hope scale and some demographic questions. I propose that hope will vary based on whether or not an individual has been diagnosed with cancer
