Analysis morphometric in vivo the pulp chamber of the first molars based on location

Se realizó un estudio a través de mediciones radiográficas en una población de Mendoza, Argentina, con el objetivo de analizar morfométricamente la cámara pulpar de primeros molares superiores e inferiores en función de la ubicación (superior / inferior). Un total de doscientos cuarenta piezas dentarias fueron seleccionadas teniendo como criterio de inclusión primeros molares superiores e inferiores sanos. Las radiografías bitewing fueron procesadas y analizadas mediante el software lmage Pro Plus 4.5. Los datos estadísticos fueron analizados mediante Test Student. Los resultados obtenidos han mostrado diferencias significativas, lo que se expresa al contrastar de acuerdo a la ubicación que los molares superiores presentaron coronas clínicas más altas, una mayor altura pulpar y una mayo1 distancia desde el surco vestibular al techo de la cámara pulpar, dl piso de la misma y a la furcación.This study was carried out through radiographic measurements in the population of Mendoza, Argentina, with the objective of analyzing morphologically the pulp chamber of the first molars based on location. A total amount of two hundred and forty healthy teeth of patients of both sexes and known ages were selected, having as inclusion criteria maxillary and mandibular first molars. After clinical examination, bitewing radiographs were taken, processed and analyzed with the software Image Pro Plus 4.5.Statistics were analyzed through Test Student. The results obtained have shown significant differences between maxillary molars and mandibular molars. Maxillary molars presented taller clinical crowns, a longer distance from the vestibular sulcus to the roof of the pulp chamber and from the floor of the pulp chamber to the furcation, a higher pulp height in the cental area and a more prominent occlusal horn.Fil: Peña, Graciela.
