This thesis report is submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2014.Power outage or power line disturbances have detrimental effect on the operation of critical loads like computer controlling important process or medical equipment. The study of power line disturbances were done in the first phase of the thesis. Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) is one of the means to provide back up during disturbances (like overvoltage, under-voltage, sags or swells) and outage.
