General banking operation on Standard Chartered Bank

The branch was opened mainly to facilitate the post-war-re-establishment and expansion of South and Southeast Asia. The bank opened its first branch in Dhaka in 1966 and shifted its headquarters from Chittagong to Dhaka after the birth of the Republic of Bangladesh in 1971.This is the only bank that did not close its doors during the Liberation War in Bangladesh in 1971. Among them Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) is one of the leading multinational bank. SCB achieved the number one position in banking by Cash Management, and Trade activities. In SCB Corporate banking generates more than 40% of its revenue group while Treasury contributes more than 20% to the overall revenue. The goal of SCB is to be the "Bankers of First Choice."
