Motivational orientation and English language proficiency of students of the department of English of BRAC University

Motivation is considered one of the dominant social psychological variables as far as language proficiency is concerned. This study is aimed at finding out the correlation between different types of motivational orientations and the language proficiency of the students of the Department of English of BRAC University. The study revealed quite conclusively that integratively oriented learners are more successful language learners.
