[[abstract]]A design methodology for the simulation of PV system was firstly developed, which can be used as the design guides for PV applications in Taiwan. A 1KW PV test facility was also constructed, which provides standards and qualification test for the PV modules and systems made and used in Taiwan. Furthermore, a two story Solar House was designed and constructed. The house with special considerations of the building orientation, structure and materials consumes only about one-half of the energy of conventional Taiwan structures.
