[[abstract]]In this thesis, a binocular perception model in the low level vision processes was constructed based on physiology. A hypothesis about the operations of binocular selective neurons in the ocular dominance columns was provided. The outputs of this model were obeyed the laws of visual direction in psychology. There were two stages in the proposed model. The first stage was the disparity generating stage. Three types of information - disparities, dominant frequencies, and energies - were generated. The second stage was the binocular image generating stage which received the outputs of the first stage.
