[[abstract]]This paper presents a location algorithm for indoor wireless local area networks (LANs) that is based on the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and a radio propagation model. The proposed radio propagation modeling approach reduces the number of training data points with no significant degradation in the location accuracy, as compared to the conventional empirical method.
