[[abstract]]Blue-to-red interconversion of the copper(I1) complex of tet b (11) is base catalyzed due to the required inversion of nitrogen atoms in the complexes. Coordinated hydroxide ion is much more reactive than free hydroxide ion and a concerted mechanism is proposed in which intramolecular hydrogen bonding, nitrogen inversion, and ring conformational changes occur.[[fileno]]2010337010006[[department]]化學
