By doing this study I am interested in finding out how teachers build positive, successful relationships with their students at the elementary and junior high levels and the similarities and differences between how relationships are built at those levels. I would also like to find out what effects positive, successful relationships have on the students. I plan on finding out this information by observing teachers at both levels in their classrooms interacting with their students and interviewing the teachers I observe. I also plan to do this by distributing a survey to the teachers on how they build relationships with their students.
