[[abstract]]The ferroelectric field effect on modulating the magnetic properties of La0.75Sr0.25MnO3/Pb(Zr0.5Ti0.5)O3/La0.75Sr0.25MnO3 (LSMO/PZT/LSMO) trilayers epitaxially deposited on (001) SrTiO3 substrate was investigated. The polarizing of the PZT layer leads to a spin-pinning effect, which decreases the Curie temperature and the magnetization of the LSMO layers and increases the coercive field for magnetic switching. Also, the reduction of remanent magnetization induced by the polarization of PZT is more significant in the zero-field-cooled samples than that in the field-cooled ones, indicating the possible presence of a ferromagnetic-antiferromagnetic exchange coupling between the ferromagnetic and the spin-pinned layers.[[fileno]]20...
