A novel cross-layered service discovery protocol for mobile ad-hoc networks

[[abstract]]©2007 IEEE-Service discovery is a mechanism to find a specified service around service nodes (providers). In MANET, service discovery protocols should take mobility into consideration. Therefore, service discovery and MANET routing will cause significant overhead in terms of radio resource and battery life.
