Purpose: A retrospective chart review was conducted to determine if the time interval from conservative breast surgery to breast irradiation (surgery – radiotherapy interval) in early stage node negative breast cancer had any detrimental effect on recurrence rates. Materials and Methods: There were 566 patients with T1-T3, N0 breast cancer treated with breast conserving surgery and breast irradiation and without adjuvant systemic treatment between 1985 and 1992.
