[[abstract]]This paper presents a content-oriented video retrieval system which is capable of handling high volumes of content as well as various functionality requirements. It allows the audience to access the video contents based on their different interests in the selected video program. The retrieval system consists of a content-based scalable access platform for supporting content-based scalable multifunctional video retrieval (MFVR). The retrieval methodology is based on different content semantic layers. In the experiments, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our method in generating scalable access of video content.[[fileno]]2030109030058[[department]]電機工程學
