Visit by Adolfo Suárez González, Spanish Prime Minister, to the CEC

Adolfo Suárez González, Spanish Prime Minister, visited the CEC. This visit was a stop on his tour of Member States'capitals following Spain's application for accession to the EC on 28th July 1977. He confirmed the Spanish government's and people's wish to become a Member of the EC and also that this was the wish of all Spanish political parties. The meeting was thus an opportunity for in-depth talks on the best way to prepare for membership negotiations
