Curs: 2014-2015This paper presents a comparative study between Alice in Wonderland movie by Tim Burton (2010) and the books by Lewis Carroll, on which it is based A lice’s Adventures in Wonderland (1865) and A lice Through the LookingGlass (1871). In the first place, I describe the style of the writer, which predominates in the mentioned books: the genre of nonsense; and a brief note on the Victorian period, when he lived. In parallel, a summary of Tim Burton’s mode of filming is given. Then, a definition of adaptation is provided in order to understand what Tim burton portrayed in his work.
