Codes of conduct have become perhaps the most frequently used tool in the management of corporate social responsibility. This research aims to determine the wa y in which Credit Institutions perceive tr ansparency and to see how this influ- ences the application of codes of ethics. The fieldwork was conducted by means of a survey that was answered by 57 Spanish Credit Institutions.
