El tratamiento informativo de la inmigración en la prensa escrita en España e Italia. Un caso de estudio: el naufragio de Lampedusa

Treball Final de Grau en Periodisme. Codi: PE0932 Curs acadèmic: 2013-2014The current research studies the informative treatment of the immigration in the written press of Spain and Italy. A qualitative analysis of the shipwreck happened on 3 of October of 2013 in the Italian island Lampedusa, which caused more tan 360 deaths is going to be studied through the two popular newspapers El Pais (Spain) and La Repubblica (Italy). The article is focused on the study of the particular terminology of the information of the particular event. The lexicon used is going to be analysed according to the professional journalistic standards and media ethics. Therefore, the paper is focused on the information of the news provided by both newspapers seeking out the similarities and differences between them. All in all, the results show that in both countries, Spain and Italy, the drama is the most salient characteristic in the informative discourse about immigration
