Computer Simulation of Two Dimensional Crystal Growth

Random growth of crystal of 3600 atoms is tested by the computer simulation method in order to discuss the macroscopic behaviours of several types of crystals. Five kinds of growth are examined: (1) free growth，(2 ) closed growth，(3 ) directional growth and (4) ionic growth and (5) local successive growth. In (1)，in dividual atom is arranged (bound) succeedingly and randomly to the crystal，and in (2)-(4) the frequency of binding of an atom into the crystal is weighted according to the individual selection rule. The results are illustrated. Several parmeters are discussed in order to estimate numerically the characteristics of individual crystallization ; several kinds of mean radius. Lastly， the growth of square and amorphous types is given by some combination of the above selection
