A double layer organic electroluminescent device consisting of a hole-transporting material, 4,4’,4’’-tris(N-(2-naphthyl)-N-phenylamino)-triphenylamine (2-TNATA) and an electron-transporting material, 2-(4-biphenylyl)-5-(4-tert-butylphenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazole) (PBD), sandwiched between the ITO and LiF/Al electrodes, emitted green light at low drive voltage. The green emission is attributed to the one originating from an exciplex formed at the solid interface between PBD and 2-TNATA. The emission color was tuned from green to sky blue with an increase in the drive voltage
