The life of D.H. Lawrence is often emphasized as it's aspect of exile. In fact, he spent many parts of his life in foreign countries such as Italy or Germany. Nevertheless there are also close relationships between his life and England. In fact he visited many places in England especially during those few years before the Great War. Much has been studied about Lawrence and Eastwood. Eastwood as ""the country of his heart"" was indeed essential to his life.
