The development and application of a questionnaire designed to measure pre-existing, process, and outcome variables in the productivity measurement and enhancement

The questionnaire, which resulted in a total of 30 subscales that assess constructs that are classified as pre-existing, process, and outcome variables, was administered to ProMES work groups in 5 organizations: Texas A&M University, Batelle, Personnel Decisions, Middle Tennessee State University, and U.S. Department of Food Safety and Inspection Service. Based on item analysis, 25 of the 30 subscales met the content validity and internal consistency reliability criteria . Due to the anticipated widespread use of this questionnaire with ProMES projects in the United States and abroad, future research will focus on continued psychometric evaluation of the items with larger samples so that the results obtained here can be either confirmed or refuted
