Objectives: A number of clinical factors can affect the bond strengths between modern aesthetic restorations, bonding systems and prepared dentin. The objective of this research was to evaluate the effects of several different factors on the bond strengths between various dental adhesives and prepared dentin. Materials and Methods: Five dental adhesives, representing self-etching, multi-component and single-component systems, were used with a variety of clinically relevant application techniques to examine their effects on dentin bond strength.
