The use of parametric procedures similar to those nonparametric ones introduced in the paper "Nonparametric Testing of Treatments Against a Standard in a One-Way Layout", "Ismail" (2000) are discussed her, retaining the simplicity and wider usage. Plenty of examples are offered comparing the outcomes of these procedures to their nonparametric counterparts. These procedures enhance the variety of choices the researchers can have in solving special types of problems often misused by many users of statistics tools
