the training requirement of the agricultural extension workers in al-hassa region in some administrative aspect in extension service

department of agricultural ,king Saud university ,Riyadh ,Saudi Arabia the objective of this study is to determine the training needs of agricultural extension workers in al-hassa region ,the data were collected from all agricultural extension agent(58) in the region. borich equation was used as an indirect method , together with some other direct method to determine the training need of the agricultural extensions. the result of the study indicated that the respondents need training to increase their ability to develop both longicrm and annual plans to disseminate agricultural information among farmers. In addition they also need training in area of administrative planning and in the objective and organization of agricultural extension. it is suggested that in preparing training programs to take into account the calculated and expressed training requirements as they correlated in measuring training of agricultural extension workers who did not receive any training before , or who had received short training courses specially in the following subjects: -management of employees in agricultural extension -the role of the administrator in agricultural extension -office management. -public relation and report preparation. it is also suggested that they should be trained in planning extension program
