Les peroxydases de classe III sont des protéines présentes dans toutes les plantes terrestres. Lors de ce travail de thèse, une attention particulière a été portée sur deux peroxydases chez "Arabidopsis thaliana" : AtPrx33 et AtPrx34. Cette étude a permis de définir plusieurs fonctions pour les deux peroxydases : élongation des cellules de racines, différentiation des tissus et régulation des niveaux d'auxine "in planta". Dans une deuxième partie, des études phylogénétiques ont été conduites sur les peroxydases de classe III, mais aussi sur la superfamille entière des peroxydases dites "de plantes, bactéries et champignons".
