The cytological effects of Gesal insecticides in the form of sticks and spray were studied using Vicia faba plants. Gesal insecticide sticks affected the mitotic index and caused marked chromosomal aberrations. The sprays induced the appearance of chromosomal aberrations in a distinctly high percen-tage. The percentage of total abnormalities were decreased on increasing the time of recovery. The chromosomal aberrations induced by Gesal insecticides were stickiness, disturbance, despiralization, non-orientation, contraction, fragmentation and rough surface
