Le collisionneur LEP au CERN est utilisé pour étudier les collisions photon-photon à travers la réaction e⁺e⁻->e⁺e⁻ X. La section efficace de production inclusive des mésons K[0s], en fonction de l'impulsion transverse et de la pseudorapidité, est mesurée. Un bon accord est trouvé entre les données expérimentales et les prédictions théoriques de QCD. L'état final K[0s]K[0s] est caractérisé par trois signaux résonants, dus à l'interférence destructive entre les mésons f₂(1270) et a₂(1320), à la formation du méson f'₂(1525) et à la formation de l'état résonant f[J](1710).
