A morphometrical study was made of worker bees from 14 hives an the island of La Palma, in the Canary Islands. The study analysed 15 morphological characters. Bees were found to form a homogeneus group, presenting no significant morphological differences detectable by means of the methods used. Also, we have studied the relation of these animals with other bee races, finding that in accordance with the characteristics analyzed, the La Palma workers bees are very similar to the animals that inhabits in the south of the Iberian Peninsula.
