The impact of group (gender) identification on perceptions of personal discrimination and personal privilege were examined in both women and men. The manipulation of gender group identification consisted of a method based on a study by Schwarz, Bless, Strack, Klumpp, Rittenauer-Schatka, and Simons (1991) in which experienced ease of recall was found to moderate the implications of recalled content.
