Géologie de Mayaguana, SE de l'archipel des Bahamas

Seven formations of Miocene to Holocene age were identified on Mayaguana (SE Bahamas), four of which are new. The four oldest stratigraphic units occur along the north coast and form a succession <12 m thick spanning 17 Ma (accumulation rate of 0.6 m/Ma). The exposed Plio-Pleistocene boundary is at +3 m there, but at depths around 10 m elsewhere. The youngest units are evenly distributed throughout the island. Eight relative sea levels all
