Aim: To assess the correlation of SPL with clinical, biological, endoscopic and radiological markers of disease activity in inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) and to evaluate the additional diagnostic benefit of measuring SPL to that of C-reactive protein (CRP) for disease activity appraisal.
