Numerous studies on the mouse embryo have allowed to caracterize the morphological events occuring at early development. Our groups aims to clarify the mechanisms of preimplantation embryogenesis in the mouse, focusing on the differentiation of the primitive endoderm (PrE). The PrE is the second extraembryonic tissue formed before implantation and required for both survival and correct development of the embryo. In order to get a better understanding of how PrE fate is established and the epitelium formed, I focused my study on two signaling pathways : retinoic acid signaling and the Wnt/β-catenin pathway.
