First Middle Ordovician record of Arístocystites metroi Parsley and Prokop, 1990 (,Echinodermata, Diploporita) in the Central Iberian Zone (Spain)

The first record outside Bohemia of the recumbent diploporid Aristocystites metroi is presented. It consists of a remarkable specimen from the Dobrotivian shales of CaIzada c/e Calatrava (Central Iberian Zone). The Spanish occurrence of the species is markedly older (Dobrotivian: Middle Ordovician) than in Bohemia (Zahoranlan and Kosovian; Upper Ordovician). Our specimen derives also from much shallower environments with respect to the type materia
