The first record outside Bohemia of the recumbent diploporid Aristocystites metroi is presented. It consists of a remarkable specimen from the Dobrotivian shales of CaIzada c/e Calatrava (Central Iberian Zone). The Spanish occurrence of the species is markedly older (Dobrotivian: Middle Ordovician) than in Bohemia (Zahoranlan and Kosovian; Upper Ordovician).
