The instantaneous maximum discharges have been calculated in the different subbasins that integrate the southern edge of Sierra de Gádor (Almería), for diverse return periods. The utilized methodology for the calculation has been the Modified Rational Formula. In general, the calculated flows can be considered anomalously high if they are had in counts the reduced size of the basins as well as the relative permeability of the lithologies that appear in them.
