El propósito de este artículo es investigar el papel del comercio transatlántico de libros en el proceso de construcción de una modernidad global (concepto definido por Arif Dirlik) a principios del siglo XVII, utilizando como ejemplo de intercambio libresco entre Europa y Perú, en concreto un envío particular de libros a Potosí de 1608.
