Desde la teoría, la relación entre las competencias socioemocionales de los docentes y la autoestima de sus alumnos está recibiendo creciente atención. En este artículo se reportan resultados de un programa de capacitación de Directivos y Docentes cuyo objetivo fue el desarrollo de competencias socioemocionales en ellos, dado su rol clave en la autoestima de los estudiantes. Participaron 288 profesionales de la educación que trabajan en 5 establecimientos educacionales de una Fundación Educacional que atiende alumnos de contextos vulnerables en Santiago, Chile.
