Independent living is one of the main challenges linked to an increasing ageing population and concerns both patients and healthy elderlies. A lot of research has focused on the area of ambient-assisted living (AAL) technologies towards an intelligent caring home environment able to offer personalized context-aware applications to serve the user's needs.
