Current environmental measurement platforms consist of a large number of networked cyber-physical systems, which are interconnected according to different Internet of Things scenarios. It is likely that large telemetry systems have several hundreds of RTUs that are sending data to be processed by intelligence algorithms and stored in a resilient database that is accessible via Web interface on the Internet.
